A Quiet Retreat

Miste Tor is a private four-bedroom retreat in the Southern Highlands, made for guests who want to slow down and stay awhile.

Set within the soft fold of the escarpment, the house was never built to feel commercial. It exists as a place to gather, rest and reconnect, surrounded by paddocks, treetops and open sky.

Our role is to ensure each stay unfolds quietly and naturally. From weekend escapes to longer pauses, Miste Tor is cared for with restraint, clarity and intention.

The Reserve & Co.

Miste Tor forms part of The Reserve & Co., a boutique collection of private homes in the Southern Highlands.

Founded by Tom, The Reserve & Co. oversees guest experience and the day-to-day care of each home in the collection. The approach is consistent across every property. Look after the house. Welcome guests properly. Make sure each stay runs quietly.

At its heart is a genuine love of beautiful homes, and the experience of sharing them with the people who appreciate them most.

He has his left hand on his hip and his right arm resting on his knee. The fireplace is surrounded by large stones, and the photo captures him from the waist up, sitting on the hearth.

Beyond the House

Miste Tor is shaped by the place around it. Over time, we've built quiet relationships with a small circle of chefs, caterers, winemakers and local producers, most of them based in Robertson and across the Southern Highlands.

They are professionals, but also neighbours. People who understand the rhythm of the Highlands and value restraint, quality and genuine hospitality. While guests are welcome to shape their own time here, we're glad to introduce providers who suit the house and the region.

The aim is not extravagance. It is cohesion, ease and a deep sense of place.

Behind the House

Miste Tor is cared for quietly and consistently, long before guests arrive.

From tending the grounds and the animals to readying the interiors and refining how each space is experienced, attention is given to the details that often go unseen. The goal is simple. That everything feels effortless once you are here.

Each stay becomes part of the ongoing life of the property. We approach that responsibility with thoughtfulness and pride.

Our Philosophy

We believe that space shapes experience.

When there is room to gather, to breathe and to slow down, something shifts. Conversations linger. Mornings stretch. The day finds its own pace.

At Miste Tor, our role is to create the conditions for those moments. Quietly, carefully and with intention.
